Exceptional service from the staff here, especially Celine! I really appreciate how honest and transparent she was throughout the entire session. She took the time to explain the process clearly and gave me different options instead of pushing anything. It made me feel very comfortable and confident in my choices. I visited this hair salon at Angsana Mall yesterday and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. When I first walked in, there was no one in the salon. I called out for about five minutes before realizing the staff member (an older Chinese lady with brown hair) was in another shop. When I approached her and said I wanted a hair wash, she did not respond verbally. Instead, she gave me a very condescending look and did not even invite me into the salon. I had to figure out on my own that she expected me to walk in. Once inside, she did not speak to me directly at all. While I understand that not everyone is comfortable speaking English, there was no attempt to communicate politely. Instead, she spoke to her customer/friend and had them relay messages to me. She wasn’t even looking at me when addressing me, which felt extremely disrespectful. When I requested a wash and blow, she seemed visibly unhappy about it, giving me constant side glances and looking annoyed. Then she suddenly asked if I wanted to use shampoo for an additional RM10. I was confused because I assumed shampoo is standard for a hair wash. It felt like an unnecessary add-on. At the start, she quoted RM40, but after noticing I had RM50 cash, it felt like she was trying to charge the full amount. I decided to leave at that point because I was very uncomfortable. What made it worse was that my cousin, who was with me, also had a bad experience on the men’s side. He wanted to fix a previous bad haircut and simply even out his long hair. The barber responded rudely, saying things like “Cut what? Nothing to cut.” Despite my cousin explaining what he wanted, the barber dismissed him completely. His hair is long, so it was not true that there was “nothing to cut.” I am genuinely shocked by how both of us were treated. I checked the reviews before coming and did not expect this level of rudeness and condescension. Customer service was extremely disappointing, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place based on our experience.
I washed my hair here recently, and right after that, my scalp started getting flaky and itchy clearly dandruff. I’m not sure what kind of shampoo was used, but it definitely didn’t suit my scalp. Please double-check the products being used on customers, because this kind of reaction shouldn’t happen after just one wash. Also, I really hope the salon isn’t charging premium prices while using cheap or low-quality shampoo. Customers trust salons to take care of their hair, not damage it. Please be more transparent and ensure the products match the price and service. Thank you.
