IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN, MY HAIR WAS DONE BY A SENIOR DIRECTOR, A SENIOR? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I came to this salon to get my hair curled as I had events to attend later in the day. I specifically told the stylist that I needed the curls to last the whole day. The reason I chose to come to a salon was: 1. I was busy and hoping that paying a professional would ease my tight schedule 2. I'm not good at styling my own hair I was nearby and decided to give this salon a try, thinking it would be just as professional as the other salons I’ve been to. This is not my first time getting my hair done early in the day — I’ve done it at other salons before, and they always managed to make the curls last until evening, even if they loosened a little. But this experience was very disappointing. I expected a professional level of service where the stylist would take the necessary steps to ensure the curls held up, especially since that was the main reason I came in. I understand curls might loosen a bit after a few hours; that's completely normal. But what I didn’t expect was for the curls to disappear completely just an hour or two after I left. What bothered me even more was that the stylist didn’t use any product to prep to hold the curls. Instead, he suggested using a smaller curling iron to create tighter curls so they would last longer which I agreed to and followed along with. However, he only applied hairspray at the end, and that was it. He assured me it was a strong spray and would hold the curls, so I trusted his professional opinion. I got my hair done at around 12:23 PM, went home to change, and by 2 PM the front part still looked decent but when I checked the back, it was completely straight, as if it hadn't been curled at all (photo attached). I was shocked and disappointed. I messaged the salon to let them know, and while they offered to touch up my hair for free, I had to decline because I was already on my way to my event which is why I came early in the first place. After I explained that I couldn’t return for a touch-up, the salon simply stated that they’d do better next time. No further explanation, and no real effort to make up for the experience. As a paying customer, I came because I wanted to look good since I don’t know how to style my own hair. But instead, I ended up looking messy (back to zero) and wasting both time and money. Really disappointing experience. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously for future customers.
